I offer assistance to meet the needs of individual schools and maths departments. I understand the extensive challenges around recruitment and retention of experienced staff in all roles within maths departments. Sometimes these roles cannot be filled as quickly as schools would like and I can provide additional support to bridge gaps as needed. This can be done in a number of ways, from a one-off consultation with a department leader in need of support, to setting up regular visits to a school to work with staff or students.  Some of the areas I can work on with schools are listed below, but please get in touch and I am happy to discuss how I can help based on individual circumstances.

• Exam group intervention - this could include regular weekly intervention classes, small group or one-to-one tuition or one-off sessions with a specific area of focus
• HoD support - advice and guidance for existing HoDs, interim support for schools who are struggling to recruit in maths department leadership roles, assistance with getting a maths department "Ofsted-ready"
• Data and tracking - using Excel, setting up effective trackers, gap tracking and analysis and how to use data to improve student outcomes
• Staff CPD - tailored to suit the needs of the staff
• Marking and moderation support - to improve outcomes for students and accuracy of predicted grades
• Improving use of technology in the maths classroom
• Assistance with schemes of work and resources
• Working with ECTs, or teachers who are not subject specialists, to improve teaching and learning
• Lesson observation and feedback - with a focus on supporting the teacher
• Cover - for known absence, specifically where a teacher will be absent from an exam group class, which cannot be covered by other maths specialists within the school
